Get the Drift Outfitters located in Craig Montana, offers Guide and Outfitting Services on the Missouri River. One of America's top trout fly fishing destinations and Montana's premier dry fly stream, the Missouri has been called the world's largest spring creek. Large stable populations of Brown and Rainbow trout coupled with consistent aquatic insect hatches; the Missouri is a fly fishers Disneyland. According to the 2008 FWP Survey, our average fish size is an incredible 15"-18", with approximately 1700 fish per mile 17" or better...and of course we never forget where the real big fish live! Caddis, Mayfly, Midge, and Terrestrial hatches will occupy the fisherman all day and provide both success and sorrow. The Missouri may be the perfect river for many reasons...endless wading flats, drift boat runs, an enormous biomass of aquatic insect life, and a virtual classroom for the improvement and honing of your fishing skills. Helena and Great Falls are just a short drive away, while Bozeman and Missoula are within reach being a couple hours from the Missouri. The beauty of the Missouri River is that the fishing situations are as many and varied as you desire and can provide the angler pleasure throughout the day.
